Empowering Men Through Prevention Action Community Collaboration and Training (EMPACT)

EMPACT was created to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, other sexually transmitted disease (STD) and hepatitis among African American males. EMPACT works to empower men, particularly African American MSM living with HIV/AIDS, through prevention education, training, and action. Through group and individual training, EMPACT seeks to change risky behaviors and habits while working to increase HIV awareness.

We provide condoms, safer sex kits and printed material about abstinence to the community. For more information about EMPACT, contact Dean Edwards, Program Manager at 803-779-7257.

Coronavirus Notice

In an abundance of caution and concern for our clients, volunteers, and staff, we have made the difficult decision to reduce operating hours for PALSS’ and Adams Place Clinic for the next several days.

If you need emergency assistance, contact our on call staff person at 803-760-2901 or leave a message at 803-779-7257. Messages will be checked several times daily.

We will be open for emergency services on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10AM until 1PM. Other hours may be arranged by appointment only.
